Happy birthday to the mostest awesomest editor

Stephen Segal is awesome. I can vouch for this. He’s not awesome for being an award-winning editor, nor even for being the guy who guided me during the writing of Stuff Every Husband Should Know, Geek Wisdom, and Whispers of the Old Hag, my piece for the legendary Weird Tales Magazine. He’s awesome because he’s awesome. He’s not just a colleague in the publishing industry, nor my supervisor for several projects, nor even a good fellow. He’s a great guy, a tremendous talent, and a friend. Today is his birthday. Happy birthday, buddy. Hope to see you soon.

Eric does soundtrack music for Weird Tales

Late last year, Stephen Segal, Editorial & creative director at the legendary Weird Tales, asked me to contribute some soundtrack music for a series of brief promotional videos he had in the works. The second of those videos (and first featuring my music) is now online. Check it out: The track is called “Blasphemous Horrors”. This music is plugtastic!

The first record from Carl Sagan’s Ghost is out and ready for download. Go here to get it. It’s ambient music, very soothing stuff, the kind of think you put on and mellow out to. I’ll have an epic 23-minute remix of “Soldania” on an upcoming EP to accompany the album. Ideally, it will be good sleeping music. Yes, such a thing exists. I swear to god. A brief history of time

Well, my work PC kinda got borked on Friday, so I spent all day today running scan after scan after scan after scan. Think the problem is resolved. I blame … well, I blame someone who is not me. It wasn’t my fault. I swear it. Because things are rarely, if ever, my fault. Totally forgot to post this to my website after it was finished, so I’ll post it here instead. Taking the FaceBook plunge

You know, I’ve had no want, need, or desire to sign up for those big social media sites. They’ve been all the rage the last few years, so being the sort of knee-jerk, closed-minded guy I am, I decided I wanted no part of them. Well, that’s not entirely true.
