Image by Flickr Blink. Blink. Blink. The cursor stares mockingly at you, taunting your creative impotence. The page remains blank and unfilled. How did this happen? You used to be so prolific, so creatively fecund. Your mind was brimming with insightful, fascinating notions that were just begging to be shared with the world. Your mind was a crucible of wit and comprehension that you could once weave expertly into sentences so finely crafted that your literary sleight of hand bedazzled even your discerning sensibilities. But now the well is dry, your mind is barren and the cursor still stares mockingly at you. Blink. Blink. Blink. Have no fear, your talent hasn’t left you. You’ve not forgotten how to write, and the skills that made your…

Contributed Post Moving house is said to be one of the most stressful things you will ever do. Made even more so if you are moving with children and pets or moving to a new country. Yet, now so few of us can afford to buy a home until later in life, we are moving more often. Many people move between rental properties every few years until they settle with a family. Even then there can be a few moves along the way. People move to find work, to be closer to partners, for a change of scenery, to find a nicer house, to get more space, to run away from a problem or to get a fresh start and sometimes simply because they fancy…

Contributed Post Lots of people have zero love for their backyard. It represents hard work, frustration, and, well, dirt. It’s true that it takes a lot of work to create a beautiful outdoor space that can wow your neighbors and friends. But once the big efforts are made, it really needn’t take that much more on a regular basis to keep it looking immaculate. Your backyard should be a much-loved extra room for your home. It’s a big space that can be used for fun and games, entertaining, and dining. And it should be used for all those things. Then, of course, are all the other things you’re missing out on. You can use your garden to grow your own ingredients for a deliciously healthy…
