News & Features

I have worked in journalism since 1999, first as a beat reporter, then as an editor, and today as a freelancer. During that time, I have written somewhere in the neighborhood of 2,000 news features for over a dozen different publications, including the Philly Weekly, Atlantic City Weekly, and Micromedia Publications. What follows is a small sample, drawn from what is available online. I no longer do beat coverage, but am available for hire for other news work. For a more complete overview of my writing work, please see my Writing page and Books page.

Please note that due to the ever-changing nature of news on the web, many of these links may have gone dead since I added them to this page. Please bring them to my attention when possible. When possible, I have instead included links via the Wayback Machine, which may be slower to load.
