Did I mention my podcast is back?

For the first time in nearly a year, you can hear Jim McDevitt and I yapping again on the Year of Hitchcock podcast right at this awesome link. Our Hooray! We’re Back! episode doesn’t only get us back online, it announces our super awesome news: We’ll be podcasting monthly from now until eternity — or until I get sick of it — talking about classic films, directors, actors, and whatever else suits our fancy. Hitchcock podcast in the final stretch

Well, we’re almost there. Way back in April 2009, Jim McDevitt and I started podcasting about Alfred Hitchcock. This should come as no surprise. We’re the coauthors of an awesome book, A Year of Hitchcock, which is, like, pretty good and stuff. The book was a serious but accessible look at the full body of work of legendary director Alfred Hitchcock. I like it. I hope you get it and like it, too. (Honestly, at this point I assume you all follow us on Facebook, anyway.) The Year of Hitchcock podcast is back!

After a long, fatigue-driven hiatus, Jim McDevitt and I finally got back behind the microphone two weekends ago and recorded all-new episodes of The Year of Hitchcock Podcast. We’re excited to say that we recorded enough episodes to release them every two weeks for the next few months. We’ll be discussing landmark films like Vertigo, The Birds, Psycho, and The Man Who Knew Too Much during this stretch of episodes. We initially began doing the podcast as a weekly companion to our book, A Year of Hitchcock (which will soon be available in softcover at a much lower price). WRITING: Some excellent blogs and resources

In a previous post I mentioned a few blogs and resources you should consider following if you’re interested not just in the craft of writing, but getting paid for it. ‘Cause doing something you love is nice, but getting paid for it is even nicer. Well, here are a few more. The Swivet is a mixed bag of odds and ends, but it always returns to writing. The Hitchcock podcast returns!

Hey, remember a little something called the Year of Hitchcock Podcast? Well, it’s back. Technical difficulties and life issues forced a break, but it’s back and ready to roll. We’ll be airing roughly every other week for the time being — if there are blips in the schedule, there are blips in the schedule — and will at the very least clear out the shows we already have recorded (14 in all). From there? We’ll see. So for now go subscribe, fire it up on iTunes, tell some friends, spread the word, yada yada yada. Or don’t. I don’t care either way. No skin off mine.
