Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile

While it doesn’t have an anticipated release date as yet, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile has already gathered a lot of hype. Based on the true story of charming serial killer Ted Bundy, it shows the events from the perspective of his girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer, who struggled to acknowledge Bundy’s true nature as it was played out through arrests and in court. yeah, River was definitely a standout. He just exuded a certain sure-ness about himself. He reminded me of a young DiCaprio (even though River came first). In STAND BY ME he just took charge of every scene he was in. In RUNNING ON EMPTY (this movie is exactly the kind of film DiCaprio sparkled in and became famous from) he was a powerhouse. I most remember noticing him in STAND BY ME and then not until he was in MY OWN PRIVATE IDAHO and SNEAKERS and THE THING CALLED LOVE (which I don”t know that anyone anywhere has ever even seen, but it was actually quite good. Him and Samantha Mathis and Dermot Mulroney in a Nashville singing love triangle, but it was funny and heartfelt). It”s amazing how few things he did, yet he is one of the most beloved and remembered actors from the last 25 years.
